Hey! I’m Carter Wingfield, a photographer based in Charlotte, NC.

I spent most of my career as a graphic designer, which means I came to photography with a different eye than most. I think about composition obsessively, notice light the way designers notice type, and bring a visual intentionality to every frame that goes beyond just pointing a camera at something beautiful.

What I actually love is finding the real thing. The moment someone laughs before they’re ready, the way a couple looks at each other when they think nobody’s watching, the chaos of a family that’s actually a family. That’s what I want to give you back: photographs that feel true.

I photograph weddings, couples, and families throughout Charlotte and the surrounding Carolinas, from Concord and Kannapolis to Lake Norman and beyond. Wedding packages start at $2,200. Sessions start at $300.
